Energy Efficient Intelligent Buildings
There is a constant demand of eco-friendly development in today’s day and age, due to the growing concerns of Global Warming & Climate Change. It is thereby, required that we do our bit in every possible to add to the green quotient of the environment. Green Buildings are a preferred choice today both by the builders and buyers. Greenifyi is aggressively working on a more specific category called Energy-Efficient Intelligent Buildings, which is the one that is primarily constructed using recyclable CFS Steel, as well as uses processes that are environmentally friendly from design, operation, and construction to maintenance, renovation and demolition. GRSBs have the least impact on the environment.
There are three Green Building rating systems using which we can rate CFS Steel Buildings :
- LEED (The Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design)
- GRIHA (Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment)
- BEE (Bureau of Energy Efficiency)
These systems have different parameters, which allow builders to apply green concepts and cut down the impact on the environment. These ratings help build environmentally sound buildings that use less water and energy. Also, the builders ensure that the buildings have more of natural lighting to reduce the use of electricity, better air quality through large green spaces around the buildings, solar panels for water heating and many more such techniques. Technologies like efficient cooling systems that automatically adjust the room temperature, saving energy. Green CFS Steel Buildings have a smarter lighting system that automatically switches off when no one is present inside the rooms. Simple technologies like air based flushing system in toilets that avoids water use by 100%, Use of energy efficient LED’s and CFL’s instead of conventional incandescent lamp.
Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) formed the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) in year 2001. IGBC has developed the following green building rating systems for different types of building in line and conformity with United States Green Building Council (USGBC) :
- LEED India for New Construction
- LEED India for Core and Shell
- IGBC Green Homes
- IGBC Green Factory Building
- IGBC Green SEZ
- IGBC Green Townships
